This year we visited the mountains of Idaho as we visited Nez Perce Country with Jerry Greene as our guide. Jerry, assisted by Rod Thomas, took us on a journey that included some of the most breath taking scenery imaginable. We concentrated on the beginning of the tragic story of the Nez Perce heart-breaking journey to seek asylum in Canada. This beautiful country will left no doubt as to the reluctance of the Nez Perce to give it up.

Sites visited included NPS Whitman Mission NHS, Fort Walla Walla, NPS Nez Perce NHP, Wallowa Mountains and Old Joseph's Grave, Cottonwood Battlefields, Tolo Lake Conclave Site, Grangeville Cemetery, White Bird Canyon Battlefield, and the Clearwater Battlefield. Our base camp was at the Red Lion Hotel in Lewiston, Idaho.
